Estate

THE VILLA LIES DEEP IN PEACE, IN A PLACE WITHOUT TIME: THIS IS THE “TENUTA DIAVOLETTO” ESTATE.

Tenuta Diavoletto is a fundamental stopover along the Wine and Dine Route. It is surrounded by fine vineyards and located on a gentle hill overlooking the sea, the fortress of Bertinoro and the village of Polenta, where the exiled Dante also stopped.

Now under the management of the Girardi family, this winery concentrates on vine growing and wine production which brings together the manual techniques and experience gained by three generations of vine growers.

History

The evocative environment, rich in history and culture, where the winery is based was considered the ideal place to grow vines and produce excellent wines first by the Romans and then the Byzantines.

Out of respect for this prestigious past it was decided to recover the historic vines with their excellent grapes to prevent the permanent loss of already acclaimed flavours and aromas.

“… you should not be drunk you from such a humble cup,
you should be drunk in gold to pay homage to your delicacy.”
Galla Placidia

Love, dedication, passion, professionalism.

LOVE for the land of Romagna and its “fruits” so well known and of such high quality that they can prestigiously represent products MADE IN ITALY, not only on national but also on foreign markets.

DEDICATION to customers who require quality rather than quantity today more than ever with a consequent continual search for excellent products.

PASSION for these products imbibed with tradition and which inspired us to create a space (still under construction) for those who wish to spend quiet evocative moments in contact with the land.

PROFESSIONALISM in managing the company, combining the managerial experience of the father and the youthful determination of the sons in creating courses and didactics on wine and the literature.

These are for us the key words of our business and the pillars of our winery.

“… one not only drinks the wine, one smells it,
observes it, tastes it, sips it and… talks about it.”
King Edward VII
